Current Status of Water Situation in Blantyre :: BWB would like to update its customers that the water situation is gradually improving after pumping at Walkers Ferry was resumed last night after a 3-day national blackut; Chileka pumping station is currently at half-load; Mudi and Nguludi are fully operational; engineers and technical team are working 24/7 to resolve different faults and bursts caused bt the heavy rains March 15, 2023

  • Blantyre Water Board would like to inform its valued customers that the Board is maintaining a 450 mm emergency pipe burst behind WICO which will affect some areas in Blantyre City today, 7th May, 2019. The work is in progress and is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m The areas affected are: part of Ginnery Corner, Old and New Naperi, Soche East, Zingwangwa Newlines, Manase, Nancholi, Kubaluti, Mandala, Mount Pleasant, part of Moneymen, Mpemba and Chikwawa Road. Customers are therefore requested to use water sparingly during this period. Blantyre Water Board regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
