BWB EXCITES CUSTOMERS AT THE 32ND MALAWI INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
        Customer receiving gifts after paying water bill at Trade Fair

As Blantyre Water Board participates at the 32nd Malawi International Trade Fair which opened on 28th June 2022 at the Trade Fair grounds in Blantyre, the Board is giving out tokens of appreciation to its customers who are making payments at its pavilion.

Both postpaid and prepaid customers who are paying not less than K5,000 are being appreciated for their commitment to settle water bills in addition to patronizing the BWB pavilion.

Speaking after receiving his reward, Mr. Gowelo a customer from Nancholi could not hide his excitement sa ying BWB has given him a very pleasant surprise. "I didn’t expect to receive anything; I just took advantage of BWB's presence at Trade Fair to settle my water bill only to be rewarded. This is the first time I have seen BWB do something like this. I will tell my neighbours to come to Trade Fair and pay their water bills from here.", he said. Mr. Gowelo paid K100,000 for his bill and went away with a Thermo Mug, BWB Cloth, Branded Cap and a Gift Bag.

Several other customers have walked away with various items depending on the amount of payment made. The rewards are applicable to customers who pay at the Trade Fair Pavilion only.

BWB is exhibiting three models at the Trade Fair. The first model is the Treasure Forest showcasing importance of trees and vegetative cover to protect water sources, the Solar Project. The second is the Solar Farm Model displaying how the 50 megawatt solar plant project will improve water supply by minimizing power interruptions. The third is a model showcasing the Prepaid Metering System and the types of prepaid meters the Board uses to connect customers.

Customers and the general public are being encouraged to visit the BWB pavilion inside the Comesa Hall before the Trade Fair closes on 7th August 2022.
